Abstract

This study considers the factors that influence entrepreneurial intentions among Community College students in Malaysia based on Entrepreneurship Intention Model (EIM). The purpose of Community College is to deliver the knowledge and entrepreneurial skills to the local community. The goal of the Community Colleges is to produce skilled workers with the concept of a knowledge K-Ekonomi and increasing knowledge through the short courses. Besides that, Community College also offers courses related to economic activities in the local area and the Community College graduates were encouraged to become entrepreneurs and build their own business. The total of 1.277 community college student involve in the research. The findings indicated three factors that influence entrepreneurial intentions among respondents that students own personal attitude and subjective norm factor, namely social support from family and friends. While another factor is the factor that controls the behavior of students have great faith in the ability and their ability to control their own business. As a result, the Entrepreneurial Intention Model (EIM) has been confirmed as an appropriate model to be used as a study entrepreneurship.
