Kajian Kesesuaian Sistem Perkhidmatan Bangunan Dalam Studio Ukur Bahan Terhadap Keselesaan Pelajar Semasa Proses Pengajaran Dan Pembelajaran
Abstract
Polytechnic is a premier educational institution in Malaysia. In order to uphold this institution, the level of customer satisfaction against the quality of education, infrastructure and services provided in Polytechnics must be in an excellent condition. It acts as a catalyst for the positive and effective environment in order to produce the quality and competitive students, which are in line with the aspirations of polytechnic vision and mission. Comforts of the studio are an important element to create a perfect environment for teaching and learning (T & L). The aim of this study was to determine the suitability of building services systems of the quantity surveyors studio against the comforts of the students during the T & L process. The convergence is given for four items of building services only which are lighting systems, ventilation systems, internal temperature and the space of the studio. This study is implemented using the survey and questionnaire method. The total of 220 diploma student that used the studious is selected randomly. The data obtained from the questionnaires were analyzed using the software statical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) version 20.0 by involving percentages and mean scores. The average mean score obtained for the lighting system is 3.97, the ventilation system is 3.90, the internal temperature is 3.89 and space is 3.84. It was found that the mean score for each item is on the high inclination. Thus, this shows that the system of building services provided is very convenient for the students’ comfort during the learning process in the quantity surveying studio. Some suggestions have been given to the Polytechnic Kota Bharu (PKB) to improve the service of this system in order to provide the full comfort to students and lecturers.
