Abstract

The Legatum Prosperity Index Report reported 28 out of 104 countries showing that Malaysia's position in entrepreneurship and innovation is at a high level. Malaysia's performance is stimulated by the growing high-tech industry. The purpose of this study is to examine the level of entrepreneurship skills among students of the Perak Community College. The entrepreneurial skill level consists of cognitive competence, intrapersonal competence and interpersonal competence. A total of 235 respondents were selected from Sungai Siput Community College, Chenderoh Community College and Pasir Salak Community College involved in this study. This study uses simple sampling method. This is a descriptive study and a set of questionnaire has been distributed to obtain feedback. The analysis was carried out using SPSS v22. The results show that the level of entrepreneurship skills in three community colleges in Perak is moderately high. Elements of entrepreneurship skills consisted of mean score of 4.33 for cognitive competence, mean score of 4.23 for intrapersonal competence and mean score of 4.28 for interpersonal competence. The overall mean score is 4.28. This shows that students have the skills of entrepreneurship and are able to enhance the socio-economy of the nation as well as themselves.
