Abstract
The Color Light Signal (CLS) model is an innovation that has been carried out by Diploma unit lecturers at Masjid Tanah Community College (KKMT). CLS has been used in the presentation of Teaching and Learning (PdP) Diploma in Rail Signaling and Communication Technology students. This study was conducted to identify students' perceptions of the use of the CLS model, namely presentation by module lecturers and model operation as a Teaching and Learning tool in practical implementation. A total of 38 respondents who answered the questionnaire and data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science Software version 23.0 (SPSS) to obtain mean scores and t test. This study uses a questionnaire instrument that has been constructed by the researcher himself with 0.88 alpha Cronbach. The results showed that the level of participants 'perception for all aspects at a high level with an average mean score of 4.05 and significant value (p) by gender for all aspects is greater than 0.05, this indicates that gender factors do not affect the level of participants' perception in the CLS model. Studies also prove that this course has given a good perception in terms of increasing knowledge and interest. The next study is to look at the perception of the use of technology based on the principles practiced.
