Abstract

The Open Learning platform is an online learning based on MOOCs. MOOCs are still new in Malaysia, therefore there is still no guide in designing learning activities that meet requirements for TVET courses. The purpose of this study is to develop and to get feedback from expert on their acceptance based on learning activities that has been developed for Audio Video Diagnose and Maintenance course. In this study ADDIE model is used in development of learning activity and integrating 5E model of constructivism learning theory in designing learning materials. Checklist form was used to collect data which involve 3 experts as data samplings. Data were were interpreted in the form of frequency score. The finding of the study shows that the experts are giving a positive acceptance in terms of content, performance and interaction and overall evaluation toward learning activities that has been developed. The contribution of the study are as a the guidelines to develop and design learning activities for TVET that follow MOOCs instructional guidelines and can be used as self-directed learning materials as well as research findings for further research.
