Abstract

The project is carried out to assess the ability of the polymer composite machining using a milling machine. This study describes the general methods of polymer composite machining as well as the hardness testing conducted. The fiberglass reinforced polyester composite has been selected to the milling machining process. Fiberglass is the material that is strong and powerful plus lighter by using Barcol Hardness Tester tool. The result of hardness test showed that the lowest reading is 46B with a speed of 500ppm, while the highest is 55B at a speed of 1000ppm. In addition the 1000ppm speed value has a higher hardness.
