Abstract

The agriculture sector is one of the major sectors contributing to the nation's income such as rice cultivation. The rice crop activity is a strategic crop that guarantees the security of our national food supplies. To increase the production and ensure the quality of harvesting, highly intensive care and efficient spraying of fertilizers and insecticides are required. This invention has been tested at a paddy plantation at Parit Subari, Semerah, Johor. The Portable Sprinkler is seen as a new mechanism in solving problems of fertilization and spraying of insecticides. Furthermore, the use of this Portable Sprinkler can solve the problems of farmers in ensuring that the spraying of fertilizers and insecticides is evenly distributed on each paddy plant to obtain better quality of rice.
